Strength Training
Strength training has other benefits than making individuals in their 20’s and 30’s look lean and muscular. This activity has been proven to increase bone density and strength, improve overall balance and posture, decrease chronic back, neck and head pain and even increase resting metabolic rate leading to increased calorie burn and weight loss! Physical Fitness offers all of the essential equipment necessary to begin and maintain a regular strength training program, without the constant presence of the typical strength trainers seen at other area fitness clubs. Dumbbell weights range from one pound, plastic weights to accommodate our new clients, up to 50 pounds for our more advanced strength trainers. Our full line of Life Fitness strength training machines, Life Line resistance tubing and the new addition of the TRX suspension training and Rip Training devices allow us to accommodate individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Those new to strength training will receive two complimentary, 60 minute, one on one training sessions with an exercise physiologist. This time allows us as fitness professionals to familiarize these individuals to our equipment, teach them the specific exercises that will help them accomplish their needs and goals, and also give us the peace of mind that each member is comfortable and safe during each and every exercise session.
