Over 50 Years Old
"I was never a 'gym person', but this is more of a community than a place to work out." --Mary D.
Conditions such as: osteoporosis, hypertension, obesity, diabetes, chronic pain, arthritis, and countless others can slow us down or stop us from participating in activities we enjoyed in the past or look forward to in the future. Fortunately, an exercise program comprised of resistance and aerobic exercise coupled with a healthy diet has been proven to prevent and even stop the negative conditions of aging. Improving muscular strength and endurance through an exercise program will sustain your ability to perform activities of daily living, prolonging your independency. Physical activity also decreases the probability of developing conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, or stroke while improving mental, muscle, bone, and joint health.
Here at Physical Fitness, approximately eighty percent of our clientele experiences at least one of the various side effects of aging. This makes the overall atmosphere of the exercise facility welcoming and returning much less overwhelming since most all of our members are new to fitness. Our small, comfortable environment is ideal for making new friends without the loud music and intimidation of being surrounded by “body builders”.
