Frequently Asked Questions
What is Physical Fitness LLC?
Physical Fitness is a very unique Medical Fitness facility catering to a growing population that has more specific fitness needs to improve their health and regain control of their life. We can take the time to do a thorough health analysis, musculoskeletal screening, discuss your goals, consult with your physicians and create a custom plan to help you achieve the healthy life you have always envisioned.
What are our hours?
We are open Monday through Friday 7:00am to 8:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am to 2:00pm. We are closed on Sundays.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
Many physicians in the area refer their patients to us but a referral is not required. We do, however, notify your physicians that you are starting an exercise program with us and give them the opportunity to provide input.
Can we do Physical Therapy?
We are Exercise Physiologists, not Physical Therapists, but if you have a prescription for physical therapy, we can help refer you. After you have completed your short term therapy we can consult with your therapists and then set you up with your customized training program here at Physical Fitness.
What are our prices?
Physical Fitness offers a variety of fitness programs based on the client's capabilities, goals and medical needs. Please call us at 203-488-5919 so we can help you decide which program suits your needs and discuss the pricing.
Will my health insurance pay for my membership?
Only some health insurances have started to recognize the power of providing good preventative wellness benefits to their customers. As such only a few will cover exercise programs for their members. We continually search out what is available for our clients. Currently the only insurance providing membership coverage for Physical Fitness is Aetna Medicare's Silver and Fit program.
What type of equipment do we have?
We have a full line of Life Fitness Pro 9100 cardio machines including treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, recumbent bikes, rower and stairmaster. We also have Life Fitness strength training machines and a variety of functional equipment such as BOSU trainers and balls, TRX suspension and RIP trainers, Lifeline and Theraband resistance bands and tubing, medicine balls, balance trainers, etc. Our rehab equipment also includes NuStep recumbent crosstrainers and an Upper Body Ergometer (Arm Bike).
Do we sell exercise equipment?
We are not a vendor for exercise equipment but can help refer you for your needs.
